‘AKSHARATMA’ – VIDEO SERIES- Department of Sociology and Centre for Research in association with the Golden Jubilee Memorial Library, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam organized ‘Akhsharatma’- a journey into the soul of books. It is a series of videos which introduces new books, both Malayalam and English,as well as gives information regarding library resources and handy digital tools
In this technology driven world, where we are constantly immersing ourselves into the virtual reality, it would be refreshing at times, to remind ourselves of the invincible power only books can provide us. As J.K Rowling says-“I think it’s the books that you read when you’re young that live with you forever.” Reading is one of the best constructive habits that anyone can have. It has a huge positive impact in almost every aspect of our life. When you gift a person a book you don’t give him or her just pieces of paper and ink and glue – you give him a whole new life.
The video series- Aksharatma’- was an endeavor to help people to ignite their passion of reading.
